Objectives

Class Teachers:         Understanding every child’s psychology, behavior, pace and interest within first two months. Understanding the areas of opportunity and areas of interest of every child of his/her class within three months of the joining of the children.
                                    Will monitor the student’s behavior, attitude and progress throughout the academic session and will correct any defaulters as and when required.
                                    Must motivate students to watch news, read newspapers and be aware of current happenings.
Subject Teachers:      Understanding the areas of development of every child of their subject before completion of the unit and bring improvement in child through revision, correction and special attention.
                                    Involving  the students in the school activities closely related to their areas of interest starting to use only English as a language of communication as long as in the school campus.

Introduction:
The 2019 Annual Report presents information for reporting requirements and reforms of the community of our school’s operations and achievements through the year. The report includes information of the school’s profile, curriculum, co-curricular activities, work force composition and students performance.
Aloysians proudly offers a wide and varied range of extra-curricular activities. We provide to meet the needs, interest and talents of all students.
These activities include:-

CAPACITY BUILDING OF TEACHERS
"Empowering teachers is the key to enhance education."
To empower the teachers with the technique of self motivation and positive attitude the school management organizes Seminars and Orientation programs.
The School Management of St. Aloysius School, Shahdol had arranged a Teachers Orientation Programme (JDES level) on 15th June, 2019 to empower the teachers with the technique of Self motivation and Positive attitude to deal with the children as well as colleagues.
Mr. Kevin Pereira was the resource person for the programme. He said that the teachers are God’s miracle. We are limitless and unlimited.
Teachers from Good Shepherd Convent, Shahdol and Bharat Jyoti Vidyalaya, Anuppur were invited for the programme. We all were inspired by the words of Mr. Kevin Pereira that
“Duty makes us to do things well but love makes us to do them beautifully.”
St. Aloysius School, Shahdol under the guidance of our Manager Rev. Fr. Jose Antony and Principal Sr. Kurdula organised an eventful and enriching programme for the teachers on
19th June, 2019.

The resource persons for the event were Dr. Kallol Das (Vice-Principal St. Aloysius School, Jabalpur) and Mrs. Pearly Jacob (HOD Management, St. Aloysius College, Jabalpur).
They geared up the teachers for the new academic session. Mam Jacob said that we are like a pencil. We should allow ourselves to be held by others. Recreation workshop was given on the qualities of Good teacher. The session culminated with expressing gratitude with the Assurance to take St. Aloysius School to the next level. The very ambiance reaffirmed the commitment of the teachers for providing education.


SCHOOL ASSEMBLY
We the Aloysians begin the day by invoking God’s blessing, honouring and respecting our nation with the oath and National Anthem followed by day’s news headlines, General Knowledge, speeches on great personalities, amzing facts followed by National Anthem and then we wish our day’s celebrants with birthday song.


INVESTITURE CEREMONY
"Leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality."
To inculcate the leadership qualities in students and to give them a feel of functioning of administrative body, a School cabinet is formed every year at
St. Aloysius School, Shahdol.
The Investiture ceremony signifies the reliance and confidence that the school consigns in the newly invested office bearers. Donning the mantle of accountability, they also pledge to bestow their duties to the best of their abilities. They are reminded about the responsibility of acting as a link between the management and the students.
To inculcate the leadership qualities in students and to give them a feel of functioning as administrative body, a School Cabinet was formed on 12th July, 2019. Mr. Ashutosh Bhadoriya, the Regional Transport Officer, was the Chief guest of the function.
Master Sahil Khess from Class-XI was elected as the School Captain and Miss. Anushka Gupta of Class-IX as the Vice-Captain of the School.


THE HOUSE SYSTEM

There are four houses in our School. There are House Captains, Vice Captains and Prefects for every house to guide the students for better performance. The School captain leads the school with the school motto “Virtus in Arduo” which means “EXCELLENCE THROUGH HARDSHIP”

TALENT TEST
Knowledge of things of the past
 And what happens around  affects you and makes the destiny in the present scenario. Realizing this fact the students are encouraged to participate in different talent test like SOF (Science Olympiad Foundation) and Indian talent. Students from our school participated and got prizes, medals and cash awards.


EVENTS OF THE YEAR


SCIENCE AND ART EXHIBITION 2019-20
“Genius is when an idea and the execution of that idea are simultaneous” – Albert Einstein
Education does not simply mean the ability to read and write, it is a wide term used to describe the complete process of development. Education in today’s scenario aims at the holistic development of the children. Exhibitions, seminars, projects, presentations, etc are the mediums of wholesome development of the students in schools. Schools organize such exhibitions and seminars to enhance the student’s knowledge and making learning a fun experience where it is comparatively easy on the part of the teacher to teach and light for the students to learn new things very easily in a better way.
The Science and Art exhibition for the year 2019-20 was organized at St. Aloysius Hr. Sec School, Shahdol on November 23, 2019 and it emulated the hope and aspirations of our children in becoming the geniuses of tomorrow. The chief guest of the exhibition was Mr. K.P. Tiwari, the Assistant Joint Director of Education Department, Shahdol Division.
The exhibits of science and art were displayed in the school premises which enabled the children to display their interest and understanding of Science and Art. Kindergarten students along with their teachers showcased Sky world, Zoo and Cinderella’s Palace. Students of Grade 1 and 2 with the help of their teachers presented a beautiful Snow world. Students of grade 3 and above actively participated in the exhibition by demonstrating various experiments and presenting their working models which also included models like eco-cooler and derailment alarm, Smart city etc.
The students presented their investigation projects with the support of project display boards. Students also displayed different scientific games and quizzes which exhibited their knowledge and interest in science.
The Art section showcased the Haldi Ghati incident, Burj Khalifa and the Invention of wheel. The Craft section showcased collage work, Best out of waste, pot decoration, Disposal plate decoration, Paintings etc.
The students of Class XI and XII( Commerce section) showcased Trade and manufacturing process, e-city, PPT on how to place an order online and how to make an online payment and Demonitization.
The students of Class XI and XII( Maths section) showcased the working model of Chandrayaan which was a centre of attraction for everyone.
Other than this, students also showcased Yoga postures, models of football ground, Cricket stadium, Volley ball ground etc. The exhibition also had a selfie zone where parents and visitors could take selfies.
The centre of the school was taken as  which showcased Baby Jesus in the Crib with St. Joseph and Mary, Good Shepherd, Christmas Carols, Santa Claus on his throne and Santa’s sleigh.
Deeply immersed in their own creative world, children described their works to the visitors under the guidance of the teachers.
The exhibition was held to provide a platform for the children to display their knowledge, creativity, investigative skills and talent.
Parents and visitors were invited to motivate our student’s venture and they gave a positive feedback on the same.
The exhibition was a fun and enriching one which motivated the children to give their best.

 

FIT INDIA SCHOOL WEEK 2019-20


A 5-day celebration of staying FIT through Sports and Physical Education
The challenges of the modern day life has brought along with it the need to be more physically proactive and fit in order to face its challenges with optimum energy and positivity. Fit children are able to handle day-to-day physical and emotional challenges better. However, for a holistic and intrinsically healthy lifestyle, awareness and support for fitness movement is more essential than ever.
On 29 Aug 2019, the Honorable Prime Minister launched nation-wide “Fit India Movement” aimed to encourage people to inculcate physical activity and sports in their everyday lives and daily routine. So as to take this mission forward, St. Aloysius Hr. Sec. School, Kudri, Shahdol also celebrated “Fitness Week” from December 16, 2019 to December 20, 2019.  This movement therefore endeavors to alter this behavior from ‘Passive Screen time’ to ‘Active Field time’ and the aim of the objective is to develop Sports Quotient among all the students to achieve a healthy lifestyle. Such movement will also instill in students the understanding for regular physical activity and higher levels of fitness enhancing in them self-esteem and confidence.
The programme begun on December 16, 2019 by hoisting the school flag by the Manager Rev. Fr Jose Antony. Thereafter followed by special school assembly in the assembly ground. After the assembly the students practiced PT under the guidance of the school PTI Mr Gaurav Tripathi.
 On the same day, Fun with colours was organized for the students of Class- I to XII were the students had great fun painting their dreams on paper with different colours.
The second day of the Fitness week was Fun with Sports day for all. It began by Morning assembly followed by different Yoga postures which the students practiced under the guidance of Mr Vijay Vishwakarma and PTI Mr Gaurav Tripathi. The advantages of each Yoga posture was explained to the students by the PTI Mr Gaurav Tripathi.
A Marathon was organized for the students of Class VI to VIII under the guidance of Fr P. Sahay Ajil, PTI Mr Gaurav Tripathi and Usha Vastrakar and Mr Praveen Pushkar Soreng. The students began the Marathon from the entrance gate of the school and ended at the school playground. All the students participated enthusiastically.

After the Marathon, the assembly ground was occupied by the students of Class-III for playing Bombing the city under the guidance of the teacher Mrs Moureen Bastian, Mrs Jaya Pathak and Miss Sevi Bastian.

The students of Class I and II had a Biscuit race in which they had to jump and eat the Biscuit hanging on the string. It was a great experience for them and they had enjoyed it a lot. The game was organized under the guidance of the teachers Miss Roma Angwani, Miss Ankita Singh, Miss Sevi Bastian, Mrs Snehlata Singh and Mrs Roshni Patle.

Followed by the Biscuit race was Aerobics for Class IV and V under the guidance of the teachers Miss A. Vijaylaxmi and Mrs Jayanti Verma.

Aerobics is a form of physical exercise that combines rhythmic aerobic exercise with stretching and strength training routines with the goal of improving all elements of fitness (flexibility, muscular strength, and cardio-vascular fitness). ...

Aerobic exercise is important for kids. It helps keep their heart, lungs, and blood vessels healthy. All the students of Class IV and V enjoyed on the beat of Aerobic music.
Tug of War was organized for the students of Class IX and X (boys) where the boys showed their muscular power in a team.
A Volleyball match was organized between the students of Class XI and XII boys under the guidance of PTI Mr Gaurav Tripathi.
The girls of Class XI and XII planted saplings in the school premises and learnt new techniques of gardening by Mrs Lena Shrivastava their Class teachers.
On the third day of Fitness week, Fun with Cultural activities was organized for the students where the students from Class I to XII were divided into different groups. Class I and II had Poetry recitation, Class III, IV and V had Story telling, Class VI to XII had Mimicry, Duet Song and Mono act. In the presence of their Class teachers all the students enjoyed the cultural activities and the teachers came to know the hidden talents of many students.
A special Speech competition for the students of Class IX to XII was organized by Pollution Control Board, Shahdol in which 20 students participated. Out of which Miss Tanishka Soni from Class IX grabbed the first position, Miss Shipa Kumari from Class IX grabbed the second position and Miss Anushka Gupta from Class IX again stood on the third position. On the fourth postion we had Master Himanshu Sharma from Class XII and Master Kavya Tiwari on the fifth position.
On the second last day of the Fitness week, Fitness through dance was arranged for all the students in the school premises. Before the dance began, the benefits of dancing were explained to students by Miss. Monika Shrivastava. It was told to them that “Getting fit does not have to be the chore it’s often perceived to be. Instead, as people all around the globe are finding out each day, dancing is one of the best fitness workouts there is. Dancing offers upbeat and inventive exercise, that promotes a more healthy and active lifestyle. Sociable, energizing and life-affirming, dance has a whole host of body benefits, from aiding joint flexibility through to boosting mental wellbeing.” After this, the students were divided into groups (Primary, Middle and Higher) and their favourite song was played on which they danced in co-ordination with the teachers.
December 20, 2019 was the last day of the Fitness Week. It was ended by a closing ceremony during the morning assembly followed by special Vocal exercise for the students under the guidance of PTI Miss Usha Vastrakar. The flag was by the manager Rev. Fr Jose Antony and handed over to the PTI Mr Gaurav Tripathi. Thereafter, the school captain Master Sahil Khan shared his experience about the whole Fitness week and thanked the entire management for arranging such an energetic week for the students. This ended the Fitness week.


CELEBRATIONS
There are many important things in life. Learning, growing, loving and exploring are all things that each person should take care of. Celebration is another thing that everyone should take time for. They add an excitement and a lot of fun to life. Celebrations are the integral part of the school life.
National festivals occupy special place in the school calendar and are celebrated in a great spirit. We have different celebrations in school like Independence Day, Gandhi Jayanti, Republic day, Teachers’ Day and Children’s Day.
India being a country with diverse culture we celebrate in the school all the major National festivals and to show our love and affection towards our Managing Committee we celebrate Manager’s Day and Principal’s Day.

Towards the end, I thank the supportive management whose continuous support to our ideology of education has enabled the school to come this far. Teachers and the entire staff members also deserve applause for their tireless efforts in implementing the route map of imparting quality education here. I also extend my heartfelt thanks to the parents of our students who have shown unflinching faith in us by giving us the profound opportunity to transform their children into truly useful citizens of the future world.
With that, let us foresee a world of universal singularity where our children are going to be a beautiful place to live in…!!!!
